What to expect

Receiving CST is a very relaxing, often pleasurable experience. It is as common for ignored problems to resolve as it is for those that the person seeks help for. For example improvements in the jaw or eyesight are often experienced by those presenting with spine-related issues.
The treatments may also help resolve emotional issues which can play a major role in inhibiting good physical health.
A CST session takes place in a quiet, relaxing environment. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended to allow freedom of movement, (clients remain fully clothed, only remove your shoes). The treatment is performed with the client lying on his/ her back, or, if that is not possible, on his/ her side, on a treatment table. The practitioner stands or sits at various times throughout the session at the client´s head, side or feet.
A treatment takes about 45 minutes up to 1 hour.
Experiences during a CST treatment are as individual as the clients and practitioners themselves and may also differ from session to session. Sometimes you might feel deeply relaxed or even fall asleep or, at other times, you might want to talk, recalling memories or expressing emotions. Some people remain still during the whole treatment and hardly feel the practitioner's work, while others experience sensations within the body.
During the treatment, I might support your body while facilitating release of accumulated tension. This action releases so called energy cysts. During this process, you might recall a past shock, trauma or injury, which assists the body in reversing dysfunctions. You might feel emotions like anger, sadness or joy and its totally ok to show this emotions, to laugh or to cry. It’s all part of the healing. This entire process has been named SomatoEmotional Release.
